[Foundations of Avalanche Rescue]
Equipment Proficiency: Demonstrate mastery in the basic use of avalanche transceivers (beacons), probes, and shovels.
Rescue Operations: Capable of performing a full search and extrication for a single-burial scenario.
Medical Knowledge: Understand and apply treatment protocols for hypothermia in avalanche victims.
[Snowpack Assessment & Advanced Rescue]
Stability Analysis: Conduct and accurately evaluate Snowpack Stability Tests, specifically Compression Tests (CT) and Extended Column Tests (ECT), based on precise snow observations.
Advanced Rescue: Capable of managing complex search and extrication scenarios involving multiple burials.
Prerequisites: Completion of HBGA Level 1 or equivalent knowledge and technical skills.
[Instruction]
Instructional Capability: Qualified to provide instruction for Level 1 and Level 2 avalanche courses.
Facilitation: Capable of leading and facilitating official HBGA certified training (Level 1 and Level 2).
